A brand new report has appeared online claiming that Grand Theft Auto 5 will get its online heists and winter holiday season downloadable content packs on December 23, right before Christmas, across both console generations, i.e. PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, and Xbox One.

GTA 5 launched back in September of last year across the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles, first delivering a single-player story experience and then getting a multiplayer GTA Online mode via a free update. At the time, Rockstar pledged to debut online heists at a later point in time, but it also soon confirmed that GTA 5 is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The title rolled out onto the PS4 and Xbox One last month, and Rockstar pledged to have the online heists released through the first major update for the game. A few weeks have passed since then and Rockstar is still silent on the matter, despite leaks claiming that holiday-themed content is also coming, besides the actual multiplayer heists.

New details about upcoming add-ons leak

Now, thanks to a leak via Se7enSins, it seems clear that the studio is going to debut not one but two different add-ons later this month, in form of both online heists and holiday season content.

More specifically, the online heists include more than one multiplayer mission and the holiday add-on will bring a bonus one to mark the winter season.

The Holiday Season DLC includes plenty of features, most for new consoles

While not a lot is known about the online heists, the report includes a lot of details about the holiday one, which apparently brings snow to the world of Grand Theft Auto 5.

While the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions will have regular snowfall, the PS4 and Xbox One editions will have gradient controlled snow, which means that there will be more snow on the pavement on Christmas morning than at the end of the day. Roads will become more slippery during the day on the new platforms as well.

All versions will get eight Christmas-themed clothing items, including a scarf, a t-shirt, a suit jacket, pumps, and suit trousers. There's one limited time Christmas-themed apartment interior for new consoles, but old-generation users will get discounts on selected apartments instead.

There's also one exclusive Cops and Crooks mission, while a red sky effect will be displayed on new consoles during snowfall.

Both the online heists and the holiday DLC packs will debut on December 23 on all platforms, according to the report, so look forward to an official announcement soon enough.
