A new stable release of the GNOME Control Center application of the GNOME 3.14 desktop environment has been released recently with support for NetworkManager 1.0 network connections manager utility used in many open-source desktop environments, including GNOME.

According to the raw changelog, GNOME Control Center 3.14.3 now allocates storage for zone name during D-Bus calls in the Network component, addresses an issue with the initial state of the Bluetooth switch in the Power section, and repairs a crash that occurred because of a missing icon in the Background section.

Additionally, several improvements have been implemented in the User Accounts component, such as a new default size for the avatar cropping, in order to match the Cheese webcam viewer application, closing the fingerprint dialog and changing the network no longer crashes the app, and empty rows are no longer displayed for remote users.

The Sharing, Printers and Shell components have also been improved

The Sharing component also received various improvements, among which we can mention an update to the help URI, an endless loop is now prevented from occurring, as well as the resulting stack overflow, and a folder will no longer be added if the dialog is not explicitly accepted by the user.

A typo has been fixed in the Universal Access component, the border around model name in the Printers section has been removed, and sort terms are now unset when the search entry is programmatically cleared. In addition, several translations have been updated in GNOME Control Center 3.14.3.

As usual, all GNOME 3.14 users are urged to update to GNOME Control Center 3.14.3 as soon as the package arrives in the main software repositories of your Linux distribution. You can also download the GNOME Control Center 3.14.3 sources right now from Softpedia.
