GDC 2015 is still about a month away, but the major companies attending have already confirmed their sessions schedules for the event that’s set to kick off in early March.

Microsoft already announced no less than 16 sessions for GDC 2015, some covering Xbox Live multiplayer, Fable Legends cross-device play, cross-platform play and DirectX12.

Sony, on the other hand, has only 4 sessions scheduled for early March and two of them seem pretty interesting at first glance. Below you can find the complete list of events announced by the company:

- Developing for Project Morpheus: an update from PlayStation; - Make your Unity games shine on PlayStation; - Creating powerful connected experience on PlayStation 4; - GPU debugging and optimization tools for PlayStation 4.

Of the four listed above, the first two seem more important, but PlayStation developers will probably want to attend all four for in-depth info.

GDC 2015 might be more important for Microsoft than for Sony

The session that will have Project Morpheus under the scope is set to take place on March 4 and is meant to provide attendees with more knowledge on the virtual gaming device.

According to the description, “attendees will gain an understanding of the new and novel experiences that can be created when working with Virtual Reality on the PlayStation platform.”

On the same day, developers will be invited to attend another session that should provide an update on the current state of PlayStation from an Indie developer point of view and an in-depth overview of Unity support for PlayStation.

Basically, Indie developers will be given more insight on Interface, submission process and some key PlayStation social features that should help their games differentiate themselves in the PlayStation Store.

Additionally, Sony plans to share important stuff that devs should keep in mind when launching a Unity game from other platforms on PlayStation 4. You can find details on the other two events on GDC 2015’s official website.
