The one person left standing after a round of this dangerous new game wins medals, money and appreciation

Apparently, guys in Russia are now quite fond of a brand new game that promises to bring them medals, money and the one thing Aretha Franklin simply cannot do without: R E S P E C T.

The game is strikingly similar to Russian Roulette. Thus, it boils down to having the thrill-seekers stand in a circle and try to injure one another by firing guns at each other's heads.

The somewhat smarter thing about this game is that, unlike in the actual Russian Roulette, the guns they fire at each other are not loaded with bullets. Instead, they are tasers that deliver 10,000-volt shocks.

Oddity Central tells us that, at the beginning of such a game, each of the players' weapons packs just one live cartridge. If a person shoots but does not shock anybody, they can add another one.

This means that, as the game progresses, the chances that a player will get electrocuted and collapse to the floor greatly increase. The one left standing after all his peers fall to the floor wins the game.

Simply put, this game is all about praying to whatever deity you worship that you don't get the electric shock of a lifetime, while at the same time begging the gods to let you shock others. Neat, right?

It is understood that this rather bizarre game goes by the name Perm. Because it involves being fired at with tasers that deliver 10,000-volt shocks, those diagnosed with epilepsy are not allowed to take part in it.

This is because, should they count themselves among the ones who get shocked, they risk experiencing severe seizures, maybe even dying.
