Guitar Hero Live is surely one of the titles that Activision is aiming to promote heavily before its fall launch date, and it seems that a new TV style system incorporated in the game will be one of the most important new features.

Guitar Hero TV is a video network that runs around the lock and allows gamers to simply choose a video and then jump right in and play over the official video created by the band and their record company.

The mode does not have the first-person view used for the rest of Guitar Hero Live but offers a much bigger variety of songs for players to try out.

Drop-in and drop-out are supported, and the TV network can handle both local and online multiplayer sessions.

In order to access Guitar Hero Live TV, gamers need only to use a button on their guitar, and there is no complicated menu to navigate.

There are channels built around types of music that gamers will be able to choose from.

Jamie Jackson, creative director and studio head at FreeStyleGames, tells Polygon that "It’ll match-make you against people immediately, and you can just be playing against them immediately. You can stay in that show as long as you want. You can play that song, convert to another song, play that other song."

The developers also have plans for custom shows for each channel on the TV network for Guitar Hero Live, and the game will also be able to understand a player's tastes.

Guitar Hero Live has a new instrument and a bigger focus on big crowds

FreeStyleGames has revealed that a new instrument will be bundled with the title in the fall of this year, set to retail for 99 dollars or Euro.

The company is aiming to create a guitar controller that is easier to use and gives the gamer a better way of handling complex songs.

The new TV mode for Guitar Hero Live is not linked to a subscription and it seems that Activision is not aiming to get players to pay in order to get new content, although microtransactions might be associated with some game features.

Guitar Hero Live will be introduced for the Xbox One, the PlayStation 4, and older home consoles in the fall of this year.
