14 DAY TRIAL // A brand new free DLC pack for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is now available for download, called Power of Shadow, which includes a fresh skin as well as three runes for your weapons.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor appeared earlier this month and impressed quite a lot of different gamers with a large open world, top-notch gameplay mechanics, not to mention the innovative Nemesis system that breathed fresh life into the genre.
Developer Monolith and publisher Warner Bros. have already promised different DLC packs for the game after its launch to expand the story, but now a smaller, free add-on has just been released across the PC, via Steam, as well as on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms.
Called Power of Shadow, the DLC includes a new skin for the protagonist, swapping the regular Talion with the Black Hand of Sauron.
Besides that, three new epic runes of power for your weapons are included. These grant immunity to poison attacks, double the amount of Focus time, or better defense against enemy strikes.
The add-on is completely free, so there's no reason not to try out the new runes and skin in the game, particularly if you've wanted to liven up the actual gameplay.
The bigger expansions for Shadow of Mordor are set to debut in the following months.
