14 DAY TRIAL // Turtle Rock Studios confirms that it's going to unleash a free update for Evolve, its recently released first-person shooter, that brings forth an Observer Mode to make spectating and shoutcasting games easy and simple for all fans to enjoy.
Evolve launched back in February and finally presented its ambitious multiplayer shooter action for the world to enjoy on PC, PS4, or Xbox One. However, while the game is an online one, it was quite hard for others to spectate matches or even commentate them, as a proper eSport might necessitate.
A free Observer mode is coming soon to Evolve
In order to fix this, a special Observer mode will soon be released as a free update for the game, according to the official website.
Players will have to create a custom match and add an observer slot to the game. Afterwards, they can choose to spectate the experience while others play and easily commentate on top of that. The Observer mode allows for easy switching between hunters and the monster, as well as for more options like a custom HUD that displays all the worthwhile information. The display can also be turned on or off, and there's even an outline option to show where everyone is on the map.
"One of the coolest things about watching a match live is being able to see the Hunters coordinate and then jump to where the Monster is lurking. With Observer Mode, you’ll be able to seamlessly switch views between Hunters and Monster. Once a character camera is selected you’ll be able to rotate the camera around the character to see what is happening behind or beside them. Just highlight the Hunter (or Monster) you want to see and you’re there," the studio explains.
Last but not least, there's a special mode called DaisyCam that follows the AI-controlled Daisy pet when the character Maggie is on the field.
The mode is set to debut soon and will be showcased tomorrow, Thursday, March 5 in a pre-recorded stream, as well as at the ESL Pro-Am competition at PAX East this weekend.
