Video game developer Playground Games and publisher Microsoft are announcing that they are planning to launch a new expansion for Forza Horizon 2, which is designed to introduce Porsche cars to the racing title that's offered on the Xbox One.

Autoblog has managed to get access to the entire list of vehicles that you can use, which features some of the best cars the company produced over the years.

The new expansion for Forza Horizon 2 introduces, in reverse chronological order, the following cars: 2015 Porsche Macan Turbo, 2015 Porsche Cayman GTS, 2014 Porsche 918 Spyder, 2014 Porsche 911 Turbo S, 2012 Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 (997), 2003 Porsche Carrera GT, 1989 Porsche 944 Turbo, 1987 Porsche 959, 1982 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.3, and 1970 Porsche 914/6.

Gamers who get the new content will also be able to access ten new Bucket List events to take part in, 15 new Achievements to strive for, and another 10 Rival moments.

Fans of Porsche who want to use the new cars in Forza Horizon 2 will need to pay 9.99 dollars or Euro.

Playground Games has not said whether it has plans to continue to deliver big content drops for its racing title or if it will focus on smaller DLC packs in the coming months, as most gamers prepare for the arrival of the next title in the series.

Forza Motorsport 6 will also include Porsche cars

Turn 10 and Microsoft had surprised a lot of players when they revealed that they were planning to launch another core title in the racing franchise before the end of the year.

The cover shows a new Ford vehicle, but it seems that the current agreement linked to Horizon 2 also means that gamers will be able to take control of an unnamed number of Porsche vehicles in Forza Motorsport 6.

Recently, information posted on a Japanese site talked about a total of 450 included cards, all of them with fully simulated interiors and a lot of customization options.

It seems that the new racing experience will have a range of new mechanics, including improved physics and complex new races that take place in the rain and at night, with an improved Drivatar version delivering a tougher set of opponents to the fans.

Forza Motorsport 6 does not have an official launch date at the moment, but we know it will only be offered on the Xbox One.
