The team at Microsoft has recently focused its promotional efforts on Halo 5: Guardians as the main driver of sales for the Xbox One during the coming holiday season, but Forza Motorsport 6 is also an important title for the company.

A new set of details revealed by the Japanese version of the site and translated by AllGamesBeta show that the development team at Turn 10 Studios is at the moment aiming to deliver more than 450 cars when the title launches.

No list has been offered so far, but it seems that the selection will be based on both beauty and performance, with the Ford GT leading the line.

It seems that all included vehicles will be recreated in great detail, with full cockpit views and a new damage system.

There are customization options offered for all of them in the racing experience, but it's unclear whether they will be purely cosmetic or focused on performance.

Forza Motorsport 6 will run at 1080p resolution when it is launched, and the developers are aiming to deliver a steady 60 frames per second.

The ForzaTech engine will introduce new ways to simulate racing in wet weather, water puddles and night action, all of them requiring players to calibrate their own skills in new ways.

The physics system will also be improved, and there are plans to introduce 26 locations to race in.

Forza Motorsport 6 will introduce an updated take on Drivatar

The new installment in the long-running series will give two gamers a chance to share a screen and play together, and those who go online will be able to join 23 of their friends.

The Drivatar system in Forza Motorsport 6 will also be upgraded, allowing players to create a profile based around their driving style and then share it with the community, with more realism than ever before.

Turn 10 has not said whether it will focus on attracting gamers to online events or if those who play without other players will get a relatively similar experience based on the new system.

Forza Motorsport 6 does not yet have an official launch date, but it should be out before Christmas.
