The actress hopes Gadot will be able to capture the real spirit of the superhero, has some word of advice for her

Gal Gadot hasn't really sparked the imagination of fans since she was announced as the new Wonder Woman in the Zack Snyder-directed film “Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.” In fact, the only people in the world who thought she'd make a great Wonder Woman are, so far, the casting directors.

The Israeli actress is now rumored to appear in a sequel that will be a Wonder Woman standalone movie, so she must be doing something right. Lynda Carter, the original Wonder Woman, spoke with Vulture and gave Gadot some words of advice.

“Wonder Woman is about a lot more than just superhero stuff. She’s complicated. Ultimately, she’s about truth, and it’s all heart with her. She’s a strong female force. ... Most important, I want her to have a heart and a strong sense of humor.”

When the interviewer asked about Wonder Woman's lasso and how it could be seen as a thing to be used in the bedroom, Carter deadpanned “I don't see [Wonder Woman] into bondage.” Well, that's sort of a buzzkill, isn't it?

Let's hope that Gadot is listening to some of these suggestions and that she's going to make a good impression on screen. The original photo released by the studio shows a leather-clad Gadot, looking menacingly off camera, sword in hand, lasso at her hip, with legs going on for days. It's hard to look at this image and not think of Wonder Woman as pure eye candy.

In other words, Lynda's dream of a powerful female superhero might be still as elusive as the mythical unicorn.
