Foscam has rolled out a new firmware package compatible with several network cameras, which applies the 1.4.1.10 system and 2.x.1.116 app firmware versions, and optimizes Main and Sub Stream functions, as well as the OSD display effect.

In addition to that, this new release improves CGI and RTSP security, and allows owners to change the IP address without a reboot cycle.

Moreover, if the compatible cameras are upgraded, they will benefit from a new configuration option under Video Settings (Enhanced the Night Vision), and receive a fresh variable bitrate function on the Main stream video menu.

When it comes to the supported devices, the new release can be installed on Foscam’s FI9821W V2, FI9818W V2, FI9831W, FI9826W, and FI9821P cameras, as well as on the FI9831P, FI9826P, FI9805W, FI9804W, FI9805E, and FI9828W network units.

As for updating the firmware on these products, first connect the camera to the router using an Ethernet cable, remove any memory cards from the device, and then save and extract the appropriate downloadable archive.

Now log into the unit’s administration page, go to Settings > System > System Upgrade, click “Browse,” and navigate and select the “FosIPC_A_sys_ver1.4.1.10.bin” file from the newly created folder.

After the system firmware has been successfully applied, repeat the process and install the “FosIPC_A_app_ver2.x.1.116.bin” as well.

That being said, download Foscam Camera Firmware 1.4.1.10/2.x.1.116 for the appropriate device model, take into account all aforementioned aspects, and upgrade your camera’s software to the latest version.
