The day has finally come for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn players to sink their teeth onto the newest content for their favorite game recently provided by Square Enix.

As expected, patch 2.5 Before the Fall has just been released and it's available for download on PC, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Along with the launch of the new content, Square Enix also released the patch notes that detail all the changes included.

The bad news is that there's a huge number of changes included in this patch, but the good news is Square Enix has listed all the new content on the game's official website.

If you think this patch is huge, then you should know that Square Enix had to split it in two because of the size. The first part of the patch is also the largest and includes 2/3 of the content.

As mentioned earlier, patch 2.5 brings a lot of fresh content, including new quests, new locations and NPCs, new items and gear. But there's more to it, as developers also included some battle system changes, bug fixes, new features and tons of improvements.

A second patch will be launched in March

For example, there's a new main scenario quests available, new Chronicles of a New Era quest and new Side Story quests. Additional rewards have been added for some of the quests already included in the game or coming in this patch.

Also, new rewards have been added to level 45 crafting and gathering guildleves. Some Treasure Hunt-related changes will be added with the patch as well, such as the amount of rush grass obtained from toadskin treasure maps which has been increased.

Some rewards granted in exchange for Grand Company seals have been adjusted. Improvements to Housing have also been implemented, like ethereal wheels which can convert stored energy into company action.

There are hundreds of other new features and improvements, but Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn players may want to check out the full list on the game's website.
