Square Enix has just unveiled the Collector's Edition of the upcoming Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, also dropping an interesting piece of information regarding Final Fantasy XV.
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is the remaster of the original PSP role-playing game of the same name, due out around March 17, 2015, for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 home consoles.
The latest post from Square Enix on the PlayStation Blog reveals the Collector's Edition of the title, available in limited quantities, of course, and delivering a ton of goodies for fans of the long-standing JRPG franchise.
One of the notable bonuses is exclusive access to the upcoming beta test for Final Fantasy XV – Episode Duscae. The demo will be available exclusively to those who pre-order the game, only included in the Day One edition of the title.
Square Enix has been adamant that the demo will not be released as a standalone piece anytime down the line, and that it is meant to be a special gift for those who purchase Final Fantasy Type-0 HD early.
Final Fantasy XV is headed to the Xbox One and PS4 systems, with no prospective release date for the time being.
Collector's Edition contents
The package includes a golden Steel Book case, featuring one of Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano's finest pieces, the goddesses of Orience. The Steel Book holds the game disc and a 15-track collection of songs from throughout the game.
The music was compiled by Takeharu Ishimoto, the famed composer who also did the score for Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII.
But that's not all. The Collector's Edition also includes a 200-page manga, giving players more insight into the characters and their motivation, as well as an 80-page art book sporting the best art created for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD.
In addition to this, the pack comes with five replicas of the iconic cards that Ace is always holding throughout the game's promotional materials, featuring illustrations of the Type-0 Eidolons, Oding, Ifrit, Shiva, Diabolos and Bahamut.
Gamers who pre-order the collection from Square Enix will be automatically entered into a sweepstakes where they are eligible to win a custom Final Fantasy Type-0 PlayStation 4 device, an art canvas of Ace, a Vermillion Bird lapel pin, and a host of other runner-up prizes.
In case you want to learn more about Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, Game Director Hajime Tabata will host a special Reddit AMA on January 23, 2015.
