The development cycle for Fedora is coming to an end

The Fedora project has announced that Fedora 21 RC is now available for download and testing, for all the new flavors, Workstation, Server, and Cloud.

The Fedora 21 development cycle is coming to an end and the developers have managed to squash most of the problems and various issues that were still present after the Beta release. It's been a bumpy ride and the team had to deal with some interesting problems, including a bug with GCC.

After some of the more important problems were dealt with, all those delays seem to have gone away. This is the final dash for the finish line and the developers need the community to test this version thoroughly. If you happen to find any bugs, make sure you mention them to the developers.

You can download the latest Fedora 21 RC release and give it a spin. It should work fine in a virtual environment, like VirtualBox for example, but it's recommended that you try it from a USB stick. Keep in mind that this is still not stable, so it won't be good idea to install it just yet.

The final version of Fedora 21 (which doesn't have a name anymore) should arrive on December 9.
