The development team at Ubisoft is launching a new website for its upcoming Far Cry 4, which is designed to test the way gamers are capable of reacting when dealing with an unpredictable environment, while giving them a look at the kinds of threats they will have to face in the coming open world experience.

Gamers who head over to the official site will be able to face four interesting trials:

- A deadly face-to-face encounter with An eye for an eye - An impenetrable mind maze with Rabbit hole - A hypnotic trance with Mind Blossom - A blindfolded sound chase with Escape

A new challenge will be delivered each week and will be based on an interactive film that offers gamers just a few seconds in order to get out of a tough situation, only to then face another danger that might be even more difficult.

Ubisoft claims that there are 42 million different routes through the entire experience and that gamers would have to spend more than 100 full days to see them all in action.

The Ubisoft site will analyze the gamers' reactions and then give them access to some kind of exclusive Far Cry 4 content, using the uPlay digital distribution system, based on their own personality.

Guillaume Carmona, a marketing director at the publisher, states, "This platform will allow each fan to live a totally different experience. That’s the beauty of a game like Far Cry 4 as players can actually create their own path, just like with this website. Each decision matters and conditions the outcome."

Far Cry 4 and the evolution of the open world

Far Cry 4 is a complex video game experience that takes gamers to the Himalaya region, where they need to use their combat and exploration skills in order to take out a powerful warlord who is ruling the nation of Kyrat with an iron fist.

Ubisoft says that it will expand on the core open world experience that the franchise has traditionally offered and will give players more options on how to approach each battle, ranging from the weapons they use to the way they use the local fauna, like elephants, to their advantage.

Far Cry 4 has a Season Pass available at the moment which includes one mission that allows gamers to hunt Yetis in a strange land, while also offering them a few other exclusive challenges to overcome.
