Ubisoft has just brought forth a few new details about the recently confirmed Far Cry 4: Valley of the Yetis downloadable expansion for the popular first-person shooter, not to mention a few screenshots depicting the actual abominable snowmen.

Far Cry 4 launched back in November of last year and delighted franchise fans with a top-notch first-person shooter experience that brought forth not only a new protagonist, Ajay Ghale, but also a new location, in the form of the fictional country of Kyrat, which is located in the Himalaya mountain range.

The virtual environment provided not just great plains, hills, and mountains to explore but also plenty of adventures that could be experienced either alone or through the cooperative mode.

Now, after having already rolled out plenty of DLC packs for the game, Ubisoft shares a few more details on the next major expansion, which is called Valley of the Yetis.

A new wave-based experience is coming

Like its name suggests, the add-on takes players to a brand new location in the Himalayas, after the chopper in which Ajay rides crashes onto a remote ridge. In order to survive, players must capture a camp and then try to guard it from waves of cultists who seem to worship the Yetis that live in the valley.

"Players step back into the role of Ajay at the moment his helicopter crashes on a perilous Himalayan ridge. Stranded with no shelter, players must capture a camp and guard it from a mysterious cult who will return to reclaim their encampment. If players persevere, they will have more to fear than a stand-off against the cult, as yetis lurk in the shadows," Ubisoft explains.

The human enemies as well as the actual Yetis will pose serious problems for players, especially if they go through the add-on alone. They can also play with a friend through the cooperative mode, just like previous DLCs such as Escape from Durgesh Prison.

Far Cry 4 will get the Valley of the Yetis DLC on March 10 worldwide on the PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms, and on the PS3 and PS4 in North America. European PS3 and PS4 owners will be able to download it on March 11 from their version of the PlayStation Store.
