Far Cry 4 looks great on the Xbox One console and Creative Director Alex Hutchinson confirms that he doesn't see a difference between the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the new first-person shooter.

Far Cry 4 is set to debut next month all around the world, and like with many multi-platform releases, fans are eager to know how the game performs on the various devices it launches.

The game's Creative Director, Alex Hutchinson, revealed over the weekend on Twitter that the game ran at 1080p and 30fps on the PS4, but he declined to talk about the Xbox One edition, leading to rumors that the game might not reach the same performance figures on Microsoft's console.

Now, Hutchinson confirms on Twitter that the Xbox One version looks great and that he doesn't see a difference when comparing the two editions of Far Cry 4.

He also goes on to defend the 30fps framerate, saying that going up to 60fps would mean sacrificing the maximum number of characters on screen and other such things. Just like with the equally controversial Assassin's Creed Unity, Hutchinson says that "gameplay trumps everything," so the framerate was an acceptable compromise to ensure the game felt good.

Far Cry 4 launches on November 18 for the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms. The developer adds that more specific performance figures are going to debut soon enough, before the actual release.
