There are no plans to add them to Ultimate Team

The big announcement about FIFA 16 that EA Sports made this week is that the football simulation will include, for the first time in the franchise, women's national teams that gamers can use in a variety of game modes.

Now the company is offering a Frequently Asked Questions section about the new feature, which is designed to offer some explanations about the way it is approaching the content expansion that's coming.

EA Sports says that the ratings for women are entirely separate for those for men, which means that an 85 evaluation for a female player is only relevant when she is compared with one of the opponents she can actually face on the pitch.

Because a limited number of 12 teams are included in FIFA 16 there are no plans to introduce the players to the Ultimate Team mode at the moment.

Gamers will be able to use women's national teams from USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, England, Spain, Germany, Italy, France, Sweden, China, and Australia in FIFA 16.

EA Sports also states, "This has been a top fan requests, and we have considered doing it for years. With FIFA 16, we’ve made the necessary advancements in gameplay, such as new locomotion and unique player models which were based on motion capture and 360 degree body scans of some of the games top female players."

Sydney Leroux, Abby Wambach, Alex Morgan, and Megan Rapinoe were used by the motion capture team at EA Sports to get the movement and the ball interactions right.

The company has also used new tech to capture face movement and the way hair behaves, to make sure that the coming title makes women's football as close as possible to the real world.

Some male fans of the FIFA series have reacted negatively to the announcement that women's national teams are part of the new installment in the series, which has prompted criticism from the developers and other video game industry figures.

EA Sports will soon deliver more details about the tweaks it will make to the Ultimate Team mode and will show the full engine in action.

FIFA 16 will be out on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft, the PlayStation 4 from Sony and older devices on September 24.
