No new update for the game is in the works

FIFA 15 might have been launched close to two months ago, but the development team at EA Sports is continuing to promote the football simulation by delivering specialized tutorials for it and by showing gamers how the stars of the sport enjoy it.

A new video created by the studio is focused on free kicks and explains how gamers need to carefully calibrate their choice of players, the power of the shot, and the spin placed on it in order to threaten the goalkeeper and score spectacular goals.

The footage features variations including power free kicks, curling shots, driven balls and dipping free kicks.

EA Sports offers gamers a lot of details about the mechanics of FIFA 15’s free kicks and it will be interesting to see whether the community will try to rely more on them for goals in the coming weeks.

Since the football title was launched, the fan community has often commented that it is a little too hard to score from good positions when using lesser-known players and has asked the developers to address the issue in a patch.

EA Sports has explained that it will use its updates for FIFA 15 sparingly when it comes to major changes to core mechanics and has suggested that players can improve their abilities before they deem one feature underpowered.

It’s unclear if EA Sports plans to introduce other tutorial videos in the coming weeks.

FIFA 15 will be supported for one full year

FIFA 15 is a very important title for Electronic Arts because it tends to generate solid sales year round and has spikes whenever the Champions League or any other big championship reaches the final phases.

At the same time, the Ultimate Team mode has proven very popular with the fan community and gamers are willing to spend real world money on a regular basis in order to upgrade their team and become more competitive.

EA Sports has delivered two major patches for the football sim already, the final one making some changes to the behavior of goalkeepers and to the way long-range shots work.

The studio is clearly planning to deliver another major patch in late January 2015, which will introduce the transfers that happen in the real world over the open winter period.

But it’s unlikely that in the meantime a new update will be introduced just to change some gameplay elements.
