The development team at EA Sports is continuing its long-term support for FIFA 15 by introducing a new Team of the Week package for the Ultimate Team, which includes some of the players who have performed very well for their clubs over the past seven days, giving gamers a chance to update their own rosters in the coming days in order to increase their own competitive level.

Tevez and Muller are the best known faces of the attacking line, but players can also pick up Shane Long, who has been impressive for his club in the past few months.

In midfield, Leonardo and Kroos are the ones holding down the middle, while on the wings gamers can get access to Werner and Landon Donovan.

Plenty of teams rely on the defensive to win matches, and for those the new Team of the Week for FIFA 15 includes: Lichtsteiner, Aurier and Janmaat.

The goalkeeper role is held down by Brad Guzan and there's also a full complement of reserves for gamers who are fans of the Ultimate Team mode.

The package will be offered until next week, when gamers will be able to get a Team of the Week that relies on performance during a round of international matches, which might bring some new faces to the attention of players.

Ultimate Team is a reason for long-term success

The Ultimate Team mode has been one of the most successful in the FIFA series during the last few years and has quickly become one important revenue stream for publisher Electronic Arts, as a lot of players are willing to use real world money in order to get access to solid players.

In order to keep the experience interesting, the studio needs to deliver a constant stream of new content and updates, while also making sure that the core gameplay mechanics are as well balanced as possible.

Since FIFA 15 was launched, two title updates were delivered, and at the moment it seems that EA Sports is gathering some more info on the demands on the player base before launching another one.

The community has been demanding changes to some of the main game features, including how pace and long-range shots work.

The Ultimate Team mode is so successful that the rival Pro Evolution Soccer 2015 title from Konami has introduced its own version of the feature, called myClub, which shares the same core ideas but relies more on agents in order to recruit high-profile players.
