EA Sports should end maintenance on the title soon

FIFA 15 continues to be a good game, but the maintenance periods that have become more frequent lately might have an impact on the launch of the new Team of the Week package for the Ultimate Team mode, which is making the player community annoyed and could have long-term consequences for the popularity of the brand.

EA Sports is giving gamers a look at the players who are included in the new pack, but only one official image is offered as the online infrastructure where the team can be viewed is not available at the moment.

The star of the new Team of the Week for FIFA 15 is Santi Cazorla, who has managed to put in a very good performance for Arsenal against Newcastle.

Attacking options are enhanced by the addition of Lima, Mauri and Sow, three exciting talents that might be under the radar of many gamers.

In midfield, the Team of the Week is boosted by Feghouli, Gueye and Naingollam.

The three-man defense features appearances from Brouwers, Aguilar and Benatia.

The most controversial choice is that for the role of goalkeeper relatively unknown player Heaton was selected, even if the performance David De Gea put in when Manchester United faced Liverpool is widely seen as one of the best of the entire year.

Seven substitutions are also added for the Ultimate Team mode in order to give gamers more options.

FIFA 15 wants to generate big sales before Christmas

The run-up to Christmas is a big moment for the video game industry and FIFA 15 is aiming to profit by introducing a new digital-only Holiday Edition of the football sim, which is designed to add more currency, give gamers more celebrations for goals, and introduce Lionel Messi as a loaned player for the Ultimate Team mode.

EA Sports is also running a set of special events, some of them linked to the online mode, which can net players a range of content.

The problem is that a three-hour maintenance period, which was hastily announced and then turned into a nine-hour long downtime, will make players think twice before picking up the game.

A third title update was launched for FIFA 15 and the developers have suggested that another patch will be offered in the first few months of next year, presumably including all the real world transfers that take place during the January period.
