The company has not talked about a new update

FIFA 15 has already received three major title updates from the developers at EA Sports, each of them loaded with changes for the football simulation, but there are still many members of the community who continue to criticize some of the core gameplay mechanics and are asking for them to be tweaked in the coming months.

The thread that is asking for changes is pretty long and was started before the third big update arrived, and most of those posting are complaining about the way pace can be abused by gamers in order to deliver quick goals that cannot be stopped in any way and the way changes applied to crosses have made headers more efficient than they should be.

EA Sports has long said that it is listening to the feedback coming from the community and that it wants to make sure fans have the best possible experience, but it’s unclear at the moment if the company has plans to deliver another title update quickly.

Traditionally, the studio has waited until February of the next year after launch to deploy a big update designed to change some gameplay elements, while also introducing all the transfers that have taken place during the January window in the real world.

The biggest problem for the team is that, regardless of the tweaks that it makes, FIFA 15 has such a large player base that it’s virtually impossible to satisfy everyone at the same time, and the needs of the quiet majority have to be balanced with those of the outspoken and often critical minority.

FIFA 15 now has a Holiday Edition

The interesting fact is that criticism coming from the community seems to have a limited impact on the sales of FIFA 15, which has been featured in top position in the charts published since it arrived in late September.

In time for the Christmas shopping period, EA Sports is offering a Holiday Edition of the title, which is designed to give gamers who pick it up via Origin on the PC or digitally on the PlayStation 4 or the Xbox One access to more currency to spend and more moves for those moments when they score a goal.

At the same time, players will be able to use Lionel Messi, arguably the best player in the world at the moment, on loan in their Ultimate Team setup for a small number of matches.
