After plenty of speculation and leaks, Codemasters confirms that the F1 2015 racing game is going to debut in June for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms worldwide, with a new version of the Ego engine that's going to bring forth a stellar presentation.

Formula 1 is one of the most popular racing competitions around the world and Codemasters has released a series of mighty impressive racing games based on the motorsport over the years.

F1 2015 is coming this June to new platforms

This year, however, the studio is pulling out all the stops and wants to make a fantastic showing with F1 2015, which is going to launch in June, as no exact date was given, for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms.

According to the official blog, the new title is powered by a fresh version of the Ego engine used by Codemasters in its different racing games, and will enable it to deliver the ultimate Formula 1 experience to fans by improving on many areas where previous games in the series fell short.

"The new model delivers enhancements and additions in over 20 areas including engine and transmission, aero dynamics, fuel tank, force feedback, suspension and most notably a brand new tyre physics model – creating a truly breathtaking and realistic representation of how these cars handle on the track," the studio explains.

F1 2015 brings the full broadcast experience

The presentation has also been overhauled to offer players a broadcast style presentation that recreates the whole weekend race atmosphere. This will be in full display in the Championship Season mode, as well as in the brand new Pro Season mode, not to mention the Quick Race and Multiplayer experiences.

On the PS4 and Xbox One, provided you have a PS Camera or a Kinect, respectively, players will be able to issue voice commands to talk with their pit bosses and request information about the weather, tire status, and much more.

F1 2015 has the drivers and cars from the current season that's now underway, but as a token of appreciation for fans, the 2014 pilots and cars will be available as bonus content on the PS4 and Xbox One, as that version of the game didn't appear on the two consoles, instead surfacing just on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
