Developer Codemasters released a new trailer for its upcoming racing game F1 2014, showcasing some of the title's best features, as well as offering a taste of what's coming in October.

The latest trailer delivers more information on some of the additions in this year's installment in the prestigious racing video game series, such as the Sochi circuit in Russia, and the Spielberg track in Austria, available in-game for the first time.

Additionally, the game also comes with a brand new and shiny driver evaluation system and greatly improved career options, alongside turbocharged cars with all-new aerodynamics.

The upcoming racer comes packed with all the dramatic shifts in rules and regulations that the sport suffered this year, offering a refreshing experience to long-time fans of the series.

F1 2014 is slated for release on October 17 in Europe and October 21 in North America, headed to PC, the PlayStation 3 home console from Sony and the Xbox 360 entertainment system from Microsoft.

Codemasters is also working on a next-gen Formula 1 title, which is scheduled for release sometime next year, and will debut earlier in the Formula One season, with the team intending to deliver regular updates as the season progresses, in order to enable players to compete against the same teams and drivers they see on the real-life tracks.
