Football Manager 2015 is keeping me occupied

Andrei Dumitrescu: This week, football returns to the national championships from its international break and that means my focus will be on Football Manager 2015, the new team management-focused simulation created by Sports Interactive and published by SEGA.

The game is engrossing and deep and I have already restarted a couple of times with Liverpool, tinkering with the wide variety of tactical choices in order to find the best formula possible and then reach my objectives, a challenge for the Premier League title coupled with a solid performance in the Premier League, no lower than third place.

Football Manager 2015 is a big game and there are times when all the actions required to keep a team successful feel a little like actual work, but the joy of seeing players execute my tactical plan and score goals is enough to erase the frustration that sometimes makes an appearance.

Sports Interactive has moved even more towards the role-playing game angle, and the interactions with both players and the press are more important than ever.

When football does not capture my attention, I plan to spend a little more time with This War of Mine, the intricate title which aims to show the perils that civilians are facing when they live in a city under siege.
