Actor Emile Hirsch is being investigated by police on suspicion of assault against a female executive believed to be working for Paramount Pictures. The investigation is still underway, and as of now, no charges have been filed against Hirsch.

The incident that prompted the allegation took place at the nightclub Tao in Park City, Utah, where the Sundance Film Festival is taking place.

“Something happened”

Hirsch went to Sundance to talk to the press and potential distributors about his most recent film that would screen as part of the festival, “Ten Thousand Saints,” which also stars Ethan Hawk, Emily Mortimer and Hailee Seinfeld.

The incident occurred later on, during a party, at around 3:30 in the morning, Page Six informs. Variety says that Hirsch was questioned by police until 5 in the morning and was then released, without being arrested or having them press charges against him.

Of course, since the investigation is still ongoing, that might still happen, if there is evidence to support the woman’s assault claims.

“Something happened between the movie exec and Emile, and she said she had been assaulted and asked security to call the police. Emile didn’t leave the scene, and calmly waited for the police to arrive, and spoke with them until around 5 a.m., after which he went home with his friends. No arrests were made,” a source on the scene tells Page Six.

The woman’s name has not been released to the press.

Another insider reveals to the publication that she might still file a complaint even though she refused to do so right after the incident.

Complete radio silence

As odd as it might seem to be able to keep a secret these days in showbiz, this incident is one of those rare instances when it becomes possible, because no other details on the alleged assault have come to light since it occurred.

Similarly, reps for both Paramount and Hirsch were not available for calls seeking comment or more details. Park City Police told both media outlets mentioned above that they would only disclose more details to the public once the investigation is finalized.
