14 DAY TRIAL // We already have 2 major celebrity scandals on our hands (Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott, and Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett), but we should probably get ready for a third, which, of course, will also be documented on camera for a reality show.
Star magazine claims in its latest print issue (story via CB) that Eddie Cibrian has been acting very shady as of late, which would indicate that he’s probably cheating on his wife LeAnn Rimes and is trying to avoid getting caught.
You know what they say, once a cheater, always a cheater.
No more love for the paparazzi
On their ill-fated VH1 reality show / docuseries, both LeAnn and Eddie repeatedly told the cameras, in more or less direct terms, that they hated nothing more in this world than paparazzi, whom they found to be intrusive, disrespectful, and completely shameless. Low-lives, basically.
However, paparazzi photos available online bespeak a different kind of relationship between these 2 stars and the ever-present shutterbugs. In these photos, they are almost always smiling and / or posing, and they almost never look angry at being caught off-guard.
This, in turn, has sparked speculation that they have several paparazzi agencies on their speed-dial, because, we all know, in today’s showbiz, being visible is more important than actually doing something. LeAnn and Eddie got this down to an art.
However, Star says, this no longer applies for Eddie: he’s been dodging the paparazzi and making visible efforts to fly under the radar. Given his previous behavior, this can mean only one thing: if he doesn’t want to be seen, it’s because he’s hiding something.
Hank Baskett deja-vu
Eddie and LeAnn met, fell in love, and started an affair when both were married to different people, and the scandal that broke nearly cost her her career. More importantly, the scandal also proved that both were cheaters, and as the saying goes, once a cheater, always a cheater.
The report goes on to suggest that Eddie is already stepping out on his wife and it does so by linking Eddie’s unwillingness to be photographed by the paparazzi to the way Hank Baskett used to act at the time he was trying to arrange an affair with transgender model Ava London.
“It’s exactly the same pattern that Kendra Wilkinson’s husband Hank Baskett had right before he was caught cheating. Most celebrities just go about their daily lives, but cheaters watch for you. They know they have to careful,” the insider reveals for the mag.
In other words, we should expect this new cheating scandal to break any day now.
Prophecy or speculation?
But is this connection real (in which case we’d be dealing with a prophecy) or is it just speculation? Even better, as Baskett and Wilkinson are believed to have staged their scandal to boost ratings for their reality show, could this imminent scandal (assuming there’s one) be another PR maneuver?
If you recall some weeks ago, there was a rumor saying that LeAnn wanted a second season of the VH1 series even if the first one didn’t perform as expected in the ratings. Insiders even claimed that she’d be willing to lie about getting pregnant to get more screentime.
Could she have come up with the idea for a cheating scandal to get that much-desired second season? Another well-known saying comes to mind right now: only time will tell. What do you think?
