Developer EA Sports has revealed that the next free content update for EA Sports UFC is available for download worldwide, adding more content to the acclaimed fighting simulation video game.

EA Sports UFC was released on the Xbox One entertainment system from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 home console from Sony back in June, and it proved to be pretty popular with Ultimate Fighting Championship fans.

The title is the first in the series to be released since former publisher THQ went under and sold the franchise rights to EA Sports, and it's running on the proprietary Ignite engine, the same one powering FIFA 15, NHL 15 and Madden NFL 15.

The aim of the team was to provide a more realistic depiction of the sport, with full body deformation simulation meant to connect players with their character and enable them to feel when their moves land.

The previous content update released by EA Sports saw the introduction of three new fighters to the roster, namely Stipe Miocic, Matt Brown and Mike Pyle.

A lot of new content

The new update brings a lot of new content to the table, including two brand new fighters for gamers to play as, in the form of Gunnar Nelson in the Welterweight Division and Tim Kennedy in the Middleweight Division.

The third free update for the popular mixed martial arts video game also delivers a bunch of gameplay improvements, including more in-game animations, in order to help gamers enjoy the immersive experience even more.

The latest additions are showcased in the trailer available below, revealing the new Guillotine Takedown Reversal in action, available to fighters who can perform a Guillotine choke from Full Guard, while being taken down.

The Finish the Fight 2.0 feature enables players to finish off a fight with a flurry of punches, running an opponent down across the Octagon after they were wobbled.

The developers also added a lot more variety to the takedown game, based on denial and input times. Starting with the update, perfect takedowns will end in Half Guard, while late denials and inputs will end in Full Guard.

In order to provide a more accurate experience for fighting fans, side slips will have improved evasive properties, and back slips will hold longer in order to avoid strikes.

To finish off the patch, EA Sports also added new animations for fatigued kicks, which will be spotted during health events or low stamina.

The patch should be out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners all across the globe, available free.
