Video game developer Turtle Rock and publisher 2K Games are announcing that patch 1.1 is now live for the Xbox One version of the recently launched Evolve, designed to deal with a range of problems on the console, the biggest of them being the loss of progress and saved game data that sometimes affected gamers.

The official announcement explains that "The issue with lost progress and saved games was mostly limited to the Xbox One; it was rare and affected only a small percentage of players. Fixing this has been the dev team's top priority since it was first reported, and our customer service agents have been working to help those affected."

Evolve is set to automatically download and apply the Xbox One patch when the game is next launched and all those who have problems linked to it should contact the official support service for the title.

There are other game problems that update 1.1 is set to solve and the change notes can be seen by clicking on the button at the end of this article.

Turtle Rock is not saying whether it has plans to deliver a bigger update for Evolve in the coming weeks in order to improve balance and tweak core mechanics.

Evolve offers an asymmetrical experience and is designed for future DLC

The Turtle Rock title is built on the idea of putting a team made up of four Hunters, each with his own skill set and weaponry, against a powerful Monster, who needs to move around the level and improve its own capabilities before confronting them.

The title is fast and engaging and the developers are planning to support it for a long time with new content via downloadable content packs.

This means that the core mechanics of the title need to be balanced as well as possible, which in turn requires the deployment of patches on all platforms for Evolve.

Turtle Rock has said that it wants to offer paid DLC which will introduce new Hunters and new Monsters.

At the same time, they are also introducing more maps for Evolve, which will be delivered for free in order to make sure that the community will never be split.

An infographic released by 2K Games claims that the title was very successful during its launch week.
