The game apparently performs the same on all platforms

Evolve, the upcoming multiplayer shooter from Turtle Rock Studios, apparently achieves visual parity across all three platforms, i.e. PC, PS4, and Xbox One, although the dev doesn't offer any actual performance figures despite being close to the game's February debut.

Evolve is one of the most anticipated games of the year and developer Turtle Rock has made sure to grow the hype surrounding the game by releasing new videos, screenshots, and details about the multiplayer experience that combines competitive with cooperative play.

However, it hasn't really gone into detail about the game's performance across its three platforms – PC, PS4, and Xbox One – despite just a few weeks separating fans from the debut of the actual title.

Now, however, it seems that Turtle Rock is ready to talk a bit about the performance of Evolve and tells GamingBolt that the game targeted equal experiences on all three devices and has achieved parity.

According to Producer Chloe Skew, the console wars aren't that great and the studio wanted to bring a great game to all the fans, no matter what platform they actually owned or favored.

"We want it to be an equivalent experience…console wars are so tedious. It’s like if you like that controller better, if you feel like that’s stronger than do what you want to do but we want to provide an equal experience for everyone," she explains.

According to Skew, it seems that the game performs and looks the same across the PS4 and Xbox One as well as the PC, although that's surprising since many games perform better or have certain features possible only on computers and not on consoles.

"I think that getting into adapting things for different systems, you know PC is always going to win. But you know we do have parity between all three and I think that’s really helpful. You know it kind of silences that 'Oh such and such is better.' It’s better to talk about which characters you like more."

It's unclear just how Evolve handles on these three platforms and whether or not the PC version's quality or options will be diminished to match the console editions. Expect to hear something about the game soon enough.
