Two free add-ons are coming soon to the troubled game

Evolution Studios, the developer of the recently released Driveclub racing game for PS4, confirms that all owners of the game will receive free access to the next two premium DLC packs for the experience as a token of appreciation for enduring the many online issues that have plagued the title.

Driveclub was initially set to appear one year ago, right alongside the PS4 console around the world. Unfortunately, the racing experience was not ready to debut at that time. As such, it got delayed indefinitely. It eventually received an October release date, as apparently almost one whole year was needed to ensure that the game worked as intended.

However, when the title appeared on PS4, it was immediately plagued by problems with the online mode, which was at the heart of the social racing experience. Developer Evolution worked hard to solve the issues but users were already very upset with the whole situation.

Compensation is coming to owners of the game

Things are better nowadays and Evolution confirms on the official Facebook that special rewards are coming for all those who had to endure the online problems ever since the launch of the racing title.

More specifically, the new two DLC packs for the game are going to be offered for free when they launch next week, on November 25 in North America, November 26 in Europe, and November 27 in Japan and other parts of the world.

"We know you have all been extremely patient and understandably frustrated during DriveClub's launch, and to show our appreciation for the support during this challenging time, we will be offering the premium DLC packs for November free to those who purchased the full game," the studio explains on Facebook.

The two add-ons are the Ignition Expansion Pack and Photo-Finish Tour Pack, which include quite a few new cars, events for the tour mode, trophies for your PlayStation Network account, and 10 liveries for your rides.

Season Pass owners will get extra add-ons next year

To ensure that Season Pass owners for Driveclub are still going to receive plenty of add-ons, Evolution confirms that it will make four extra DLCs next year especially for them.

"The Season Pass will be extended to include four extra packs in July 2015 to ensure players who purchased the pass get everything that was promised," the studio adds. "So on top of the free DLC in November, the Season Pass will still include 38 cars, 176 tour events and 80 unique liveries."

As of yet, there's still no word about when Driveclub PS Plus edition is coming for free to all PS Plus members on PS4.
