14 DAY TRIAL // Dragon's Dogma Online has just received some fresh and juicy details concerning its performance, not to mention some screenshots and a gameplay video.
Dragon's Dogma appeared many years ago from Capcom and delighted with a much more action-oriented take on the old medieval fantasy role-playing game genre. The title had some success on consoles like PS3 and Xbox 360, and even received a re-release in the form of Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen on the same platforms.
However, the biggest development in the series is set to arrive this year in the form of Dragon's Dogma Online, which is going to deliver a multiplayer-only RPG experience with many gameplay mechanics from the original title.
Dragon's Dogma Online gets new details, screenshots, and a video
Now, as part of a new event from Japan, a series of fresh details concerning Dragon's Dogma Online have just appeared, via DualShockers.
First and foremost, performance figures for the PS4 and PS3 versions of the game have surfaced. On the PS4, the game runs at a 1080p resolution and a 60fps framerate that's unlocked, as the game might not be able to stick to it during crowded, public areas where up to 100 players will be displayed at once.
On the PS3, Dragon's Dogma Online is going to run at a 720p resolution and a 30fps framerate, but it's expected given the age of the old home console.
Both console versions will be cross-platform with the PC edition of Dragon's Dogma Online, meaning players will be able to interact and even share their various Pawns. In case you forgot, the Pawn system allows players to customize their followers and then send them on missions to help their friends in order to level up their skills.
An 8-player online experience was presented to fans and the general feeling is that it lived up to expectations. You can check out some fresh screenshots and a gameplay video below. As of yet, it's still unclear when the game will debut on PC, PS4, or PS3.
