With Dragon Age: Inquisition about two months away from launch, many fans believed that there were no new game mechanics for BioWare to expand upon, but the studio is now announcing that gamers will be able to pass judgment on a number of enemies from their throne room in the Skyhold area, significantly affecting their own organization and the world around them.

Cameron Lee, a producer working on the role-playing game, tells the official site that a variety of in-game characters will be brought before the player during the course of the single player, and that judging them means getting to know a more personal side of them and discovering what makes them act for or against a variety of factions.

He states, "Your choices won't be black and white, but shades in between. Set them free, recruit them into the Inquisition, execute them yourself, make them your court jester, or even make them Tranquil are just some examples of the sentences you can pass in a judgment."

The gamer will be able to get details from his advisers in Skyhold and can also pose questions himself in order to get a better understanding of the situation and the best possible course of action

BioWare wants consequences to be important

Unlike in previous titles in the series, every player's decision in Dragon Age: Inquisition is designed to be important and to have an impact on the world, and that means that judgments might be some of the most important choices in the entire game.

Cameron Lee adds, "how you judge your enemies may have an impact on your Inquisition. For example, can you live with having an evil agent join the Inquisition if they make it more effective? Other sentences may affect side quests, operations, Skyhold itself, and even your closest companions, so choose wisely."

BioWare is not yet saying exactly how many judgments are included in the game or if the player can avoid them altogether.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is out on November 18 on the PC, the Xbox One, the 360, the PlayStation 4 and the PS3.

BioWare has promised a deep role-playing game experience which combines a solid story with some new combat mechanics.

Gamers are supposed to deal with a powerful evil entity which has opened up a breach in the Veil and is allowing all the demons from the Fade to come and invade the world of the living, with terrible consequences for Thedas.
