After the release of AsusWrt-Merlin Router Firmware 3.0.0.4.376.47 Beta 1, the developer has made available another software update targeted at the same ASUS routers, namely the stable 376.47 firmware build.

In order to be clear, this update can be applied regardless of the OS powering your computer on ASUS’ RT-N16, RT-N66, RT-AC56, RT-AC66, RT-AC68, and RT-AC87 wireless devices.

This new version adds sha256 and sha512 HMAC support to dropbear, fixes the activity indicator that wasn’t displayed while scanning the network map, and resolves the problems with the PPTP account list that failed to display.

In addition to that, build 376.47 visibly improves the SSHD options and fixes the issue where, if initially on the PPTP page, the VPN server page would switch back to the PPTP when modifying the OpenVPN unit.

Moreover, the OpenVPN postconf scripts have been moved before server or client gets started so that they can be easily used to modify other generated files (such as ovpn config file).

Last but not least, this release also removes the ASUS bug that was introduced along with GPL 2678, where the EMF/IGMP settings would revert to the default profile.

With this in mind, download AsusWrt-Merlin Firmware 376.47 for the appropriate router model, apply the package, and enjoy the changes that this new release brings about.
