Payday 2 owners on PC can finally download the long-awaited update 65 for the popular cooperative shooter, which brings improved first-person animations, not to mention other general improvements and bug fixes.

Payday 2 launched way back in 2013, and since then, the cooperative first-person shooter from Overkill Software has sold millions of copies and is soon going to see a debut on the PS4 and Xbox One consoles, in the form of the Payday 2: Crimewave Editions.

Until then, Overkill has plans to continue supporting the game for at least two more years, and in order to back up its lofty statement, the studio has just launched a brand new patch for the PC version of Payday 2.

Update 65 for Payday 2 is now available for download

Overkill confirms on the official Steam page that patch 65 for Payday 2 can be downloaded right now and that fans have plenty of reasons to do so, as it packs in major improvements for the animations.

"Having recently announced that we'll continue working on PAYDAY 2 for at least two more years, we're excited to get this update out the door as a testament to our continued commitment and support of the game. With this free update, we introduce a host of new and updated first-person animations for tons of weapons in the game," the studio explains.

More specifically, players will notice improved reload animations for a variety of weapons, not to mention better movements for their characters when going through a variety of actions such as shouting, equipping weapons, executing melee attacks, and other such things.

Besides these better animations, update 65 for Payday 2 also packs in general bug fixes and improvements that should eliminate glitches and fix a variety of problems.
