14 DAY TRIAL // Grand Theft Auto 5 has been around for just a few days on the PC platform, and already crafty users have managed to come up with a functional mod that allows players to change the field of view (FoV) to a value that's way higher than the standard one.
GTA 5 has been around for some time now on consoles, but after quite a few delays, the title is now available on the PC platform.
While many PC users have quickly started enjoying the game's single-player story and its GTA Online multiplayer mode, others have started tinkering with the game through mods and other changes.
While some mod makers have declared that file editing to change the game is impossible due to Rockstar's tough stance, others have found some loopholes to operate a few tweaks in GTA 5 on PC.

One such example is a mod that enables players to change the field of view (FoV) inside the game. As standard, Grand Theft Auto 5's first-person mode comes with a field of view of up to 85 degrees, but through the mod, players can go up to 100 degrees, which makes a serious change.

However, before you rush to install the mod, bear in mind that it operates these changes by modifying the game's memory values. Such a procedure is also employed by trainers or cheats that allow for more nefarious deeds, so it's possible that Rockstar's anti-cheating systems might flag the FoV mod as a cheat and ban your account.
As of yet, Rockstar hasn't commented on this specific tool. The developer has mentioned that it's going to crack down on GTA 5 mods that have an impact on the GTA Online multiplayer mode or the overall community, so it's possible that any attempts at memory tweaking will be treated with bans.
