14 DAY TRIAL // Ubisoft confirms that a brand new patch is available for download for Far Cry 4 across the Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms, in the form of update #2, which fixes most of the same things already accomplished on the PS4 and PS3 by patch 1.02.
Far Cry 4 launched earlier this month, and as opposed to Ubisoft's other major November release – Assassin's Creed Unity – its debut was more or less smooth, without any major game-breaking glitches, performance problems, or other such things.
Even so, Ubisoft pledged to roll out different updates in order to ensure that Far Cry 4 players are having a great time while exploring Kyrat and having fun alone as well as with a friend in the cooperative mode or with others in the competitive experience.
A fresh patch began rolling out earlier this week, starting with update 1.02 for the PS4 and PS3 platforms, while PC users got their own custom patch to fix a few specific issues.
Update #2 is now available on Xbox One and Xbox 360
Now, a brand new patch is live on the Xbox One and Xbox 360 platforms, the second one for those devices, which includes most of the same gameplay fixes seen in patch 1.02 for PS4 & PS3, according to the official forums.
More specifically, quite a few random crashes that happened across all game modes have been remedied, while the host migration process has been smoothed out, to ensure a better procedure and less errors both during competitive and the cooperative multiplayer mode.
The stability issues relating to custom matches organized by players, as well as those that dealt with the join-in-progress system, have also been remedied.
The single-player campaign has received some love and care as well, as progression errors, shop functionality problems, and localization issues have been fixed.
Gameplay tweaks are also included
Quite a few fixes for gameplay issues are also included in the update, as apparently Ubisoft has managed to solve some minor functionality problems, while aiming errors when wielding the machine gun won't happen anymore. Some quick-time events when dealing with specific animals are also remedied, while the map browser should work as intended in most cases. Last but not least, audio problems when using the radio are also tackled by the patch.
The new update #2 for Far Cry 4 is now available for download via the Xbox Live online service for both the Xbox One and the Xbox 360 consoles. It will be automatically transferred the next time you start the console or the game and are connected to the internet.
