14 DAY TRIAL // Drake isn’t getting too much love these days. Shortly after his name came up in the Chris Brown – Karrueche Tran split, he got beat up and ended up in the hospital after a violent altercation with rapper and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs.
The fight broke out in Miami, outside LIV at the Fontainebleau Hotel, after the two exchanged words inside. It ended with Drake being rushed to the hospital and Diddy returning to his VIP seat to continue the party.
Drake’s condition is unknown right now, but reports claim that he dislocated his shoulder.
Verbal disagreement turned violent in minutes
Reports online suggest that Diddy and Drake had been partying inside LIV with their respective entourages for the entire night before the fight broke. As for the reason for which the verbal disagreement turned physical, it depends on who you believe.
NY Daily News reports that Drake said something disrespectful about Diddy’s girlfriend Cassie and he, like the gentleman he is, went over to Drake’s table and invited him to step outside. Once here, though both their entourages had followed them out, Diddy proceeded to clock Drake 3 times in the face.
How he hurt his shoulder in this context is unknown, but eyewitnesses claim that Drake “got the [expletive] kicked out of him.” Diddy casually walked back inside the club afterwards as if nothing had happened.
The second theory comes from Page Six, which claims that the fight started earlier in the evening, over the rights to an unknown song, which Drake apparently has been using without Diddy’s consent. Other eyewitnesses say that Diddy came at the younger rapper outside without provocation and as much as a warning.
Whichever scenario happened, the bottom line is that Drake ended up in the hospital.
A long history of feuds
This isn’t the first time that Drake finds himself at the receiving end of a punch in a celebrity feud. Perhaps his most mediated feud has been with Chris Brown, who still hates his guts, considering he accused ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran of cheating with Drake, while he was away doing time behind bars.
The Chris Brown feud started as a musical one (what’s a rapper without a rapper’s beef?), but it got really personal when Rihanna came in the picture. For a very long time, she switched between these two and this made them even more bitter against each other.
Tensions eventually erupted in a NYC nightclub, when Drake and Chris came face to face. Because neither thought of taking it outside, they caused serious damage to the club in a vicious brawl that also left several innocent bystanders injured.
To this day, they still haven’t settled their beef.
