The development team at Bungie might be focused on making sure that the launch of The Dark Below for Destiny goes as smoothly as possible on all platforms, but the company is also working with Sony to make sure that PlayStation 4 players get a clear look at the exclusive content that they will be able to experience starting tomorrow.

The trailer is one minute long, of which about 40 seconds represent actual gameplay, but it delivers a solid overview of what the social shooter has to offer and places a lot of emphasis on the 4th Horseman, the new weapon that Guardians can use, and the Strike, which is designed to test their skills against a variety of powerful enemies.

The PlayStation 4-exclusive content in Destiny is supposed to make the experience more attractive on the Sony platform and boost overall sales for the device, although at the moment no clear info exists on how many gamers were persuaded by the promotion.

The game has been selling well for Activision, and the new weapon and strike will probably only be offered on the Xbox One and on the PC towards the end of the coming year, although it’s unclear whether Activision already has a deal in place for it or will negotiate one later in the coming year.

The Dark Below and long-term plans for Destiny

The Dark Below is designed to be the first full expansion for the new Bungie shooter and will introduce a range of new environments they will be able to explore, more enemies to battle, and a massive new late game raid called Crota’s End, which will allow gamers to test their skills against a nearly God-like enemy boss.

At the same time, gamers will be able to enjoy an increased level cap for all their characters and more items that boost their power.

Bungie says that it is already working on a second expansion for Destiny, which will be delivered during the summer of 2015 and will probably also have PlayStation-exclusive content.

The Iron Banner Player versus Player event for Destiny will return on December 16 and the development team has suggested that it is making some core gameplay changes and will include improved rewards.

The social shooter has managed to attract a solid number of players with its core mechanics and the developers are aiming to deliver more content to keep the community engaged in the coming months.
