Video game developer Bungie might have only recently launched update 1.1.2 for Destiny, but the company is already focused on the next milestone, update 1.2.0, which will be introduced alongside the House of Wolves expansion for the social shooter.

In the new weekly update, the studio explains that there are plenty of changes that it wants to make and that it aims to improve the experience even for those who will not be picking up the new paid content.

Before the launch of House of Wolves, the team aims to offer more details about the changes it will make and the reasoning that led to its decisions.

The first reveal is coming next week when players will be able to join Bungie on the Twitch streaming service as it visits the Reef area.

Gear upgrades will be the focus of the video content that will be shown on Wednesday, April 22, starting at 11 AM Pacific Time.

Bungie adds, "Meet the vendors with whom you’ll trade bravery for treasure. Learn about their motivations and objectives. Creative Director Christopher Barrett will be your guide. Special community guest Gothalion will ask the questions about what the next expansion to Destiny means for all of us."

House of Wolves will not include a new end-game raid

Update 1.2.0 is important because the new expansion will once again fracture the user base, and Bungie will need to strike a careful balance between adding new content and making sure that those who only have the base game are still having fun.

House of Wolves is at the moment set to be launched on May 19 on all platforms.

It's focus will be on new strikes and on the addition of more weapons and items for Guardians to use.

No end-game raid will be added, although one is in development at Bungie and will be added to the shooter before the end of the year.

Bungie is also aiming to introduce some new mysterious activities in House of Wolves, called The Prison of Elders, and changes to the Player versus Player experience are also coming.

Later in the year, the company is also planning to add another expansion for Destiny, codenamed Comet, which will add entirely new environments for players to explore.
