Video game developer Bungie is announcing that its regular Bungie Bounty event for Destiny is being used this week to highlight the coming Inferno mode which is being added to the social shooter and will star some of the best players currently engaged with it.

The event will take place on Tuesday, March 3, between 11 AM and 1 PM Pacific time and will be offered only to those who are playing on the Xbox One home console from Microsoft.

The official announcement states, "We’ve assembled a dream team of hardcore players. Some of them are a sampling of our most dreaded developers – the guys that the rest of won’t play with for fear of who will match against them. They’ve added to their roster some of the community warriors they admire the most."

The Bungie team involved in the bounty is made up of: Kevin Yanes aka ApolloBNG, Leif Johansen aka VostokBNG, and Nico Long aka RedstoneBNG.

The community-invited players are: Ninja, FizZor and Ryth0m.

Gamers who are interested in facing them will need to head to the Crucible and play the new Inferno mode, and those who manage to take them out will get a special emblem to display their skills to the rest of the community.

Inferno is designed to expand the PvP of Destiny

The Inferno mode was just announced last week, and on March 3 gamers will get to play it for the first time.

Bungie says that the entire Player versus Player concept has been designed to eliminate most of the aids that players use and to allow them to focus on the fundamentals of the shooter mechanics, including solid tactics, good situational awareness and fast reflexes.

In Inferno, gamers will have less information about the battlespace and the developers say that it might draw in a bigger crowd than other modes.

Bungie is currently still taking in feedback about the new update 1.1.1 and is exploring what changes it might make to Destiny in the future.

They are also working on the House of Wolves expansion pack, expected to launch before the end of the second financial quarter, which is set to introduce a new big raid for gamers to experience, more strikes to take part in, and a range of items and weapons suited for Guardians that can gain more levels.
