The team at Bungie working on events for Destiny is announcing that the Bungie Bounty event returns today after a few weeks of absence and that gamers will be able to test their skills in Player versus Player against the members of Guardian of Destiny.

The battle will take place between 7:30 and 9:30 PM Pacific Time only on the PlayStation 4 home console and will use the new Inferno Clash game mode, which removes many of the helping elements for players and asks them to focus more on their reflexes and their intuition.

Bungie explains in the official announcement, "Don't let the date fool you. The hunt is real. The reward for claiming this bounty is guaranteed to anyone lucky enough to be matched against them, and skilled enough to emerge victorious."

Two members of the Bungie development team will also be part of the Bounty event and the players that gamers will need to take out are gherittwhite, CETurks, my_name_is_byf, and BelleBunny.

It will be interesting to see whether the development team aims to continue running the community-focused activities weekly or if bigger gaps will appear between installments.

Destiny is preparing for update 1.1.2

Events and activities are a good way to keep a community of players engaged and to make them feel important, but the focus of most fans is on the coming update 1.1.2 for the social shooter, which is set to be introduced before the end of the month.

Bungie has announced that the Vault will get a series of improvements when the patch launches and that it is also aiming to deliver a big balance update for all the included weapons.

More information about update 1.1.2 for Destiny will be delivered in the coming updates the development team is offering each week.

After the patch, Bungie will shift its focus on the House of Wolves expansion for the title, which is at the moment set to arrive in the second financial quarter of the year and will introduce one big end-game raid, a new set of strikes and more weapons and items for the Guardians to use.

Another expansion, codenamed Comet, will be introduced later in the year and is designed to add entirely new environments, although no official details about it have been offered so far.
