Video game developer Bungie might be using more video streaming to reveal the new features of the House of Wolves expansion these days, but the company has also compiled a list of the changes that it plans to make to the Crucible when the new update 1.2.0 is launched for the social shooter.

In an official weekly article, the studio explains that it is aiming to make the experience the best it can be for those who get the new content and for those sticking to the base game.

Derek Caroll, the senior Crucible designer, says that gamers will be able to see three new maps come into the rotation for selected playlists, all of them taken from The Dark Below expansion.

At the same time, the spawn locking issue will be fixed, and all activities are now set to get new reward tables that include Legendary items.

Update 1.2.0 for Destiny will also introduce a new daily reward package for gamers who play a match in the Crucible to encourage participation, and both Mark and Reputation gains will be doubled for a completed one.

At Rank 3 and 5, Etheric Light can also be gained.

The changes sound good and will probably make the Crucible a much more interesting activity for Destiny fans, although some might still avoid it because they do not want to become engaged in Player versus Player action.

Prison of Elders will be revealed next week

As already announced, Bungie is hosting another live stream for the game on Wednesday, May 6, at 11 AM Pacific Time in order to show off more of the content that will be part of House of Wolves.

Most of the expansion has been detailed already and the Prison of the Elders will probably offer gamers yet more variety when it comes to the activities they can tackle in order to evolve their Guardian and improve his item selection.

The launch date for The House of Wolves is set for May 19 on a global level.

Strikes, equipment and new mechanics will be included.

The only thing missing from the expansion is a new end-game raid, which is in development and will be offered to the community later in the year.
