Gamers will also get a range of other tweaks

Video game developer Bungie is continuing to work on the 1.1.2 update for Destiny, and it seems that one of the game’s features that will receive a significant revamp is the Vault, with the overall aim being to give players more space to store all the items they get from their missions, mainly because the House of Wolves expansion is set to introduce even more of them to use.

When the patch is finally launched, gamers will be able to store 24 pieces of armor, 36 weapons, and 24 other general items.

The official Bungie update features John Hopson, the user research lead at the studio, explaining that there are still gamers who have space in their Vaults.

He states, "21% of players who are level 30+ have 4 or fewer free spaces in their weapon Vaults right now. The armor and general sections are slightly less full for most people, but not by much. Even at lower levels, there’s a small but measurable fraction of players under level 20 who have full Vaults."

M.E. Chung, another developer in charge of the live team for Destiny, says that the Vault needs to be bigger because gamers will get plenty of new Exotics in the House of Wolves expansion and the team does not want players to complain about any limitations.

Apparently, the company is also working on a solution to introduce more space for armor and general items in the future.

The user interface of Destiny has also been tweaked when it comes to the Vault in order to make it easier for players to operate it.

Bungie is focused on new content for Destiny

The social shooter has proved to be a solid success since it was launched in 2014, and now the challenge for the development team is to make sure that all players who have started playing remain engaged with it.

Update 1.1.2 will also deal with the balance of the included weaponry and there are also plans to tweak the game presentation to make it more inclusive for players who are colorblind.

The long-term focus for Bungie is on the House of Wolves expansion, set to be launched during the second financial quarter of the year.

It will introduce a new end-game raid, more strikes, extra weapons and armor, but it will not add any new locations for gamers to explore, although another content drop later in 2015 might do that.
