There are also tweaks coming for Iron Banner and Xur

Video game developer Bungie does not yet have an official launch date for patch 1.1.1 for Destiny, but the company is saying that it will be introduced as soon as possible, with the developers ready to deliver some more information on the changes that will be made to the social shooter.

The official weekly update features M.E. Chunge, a design lead at the studio, who explains that players simply do not have the friends required to experience the weekly activities regularly, which limits the game experience rather than expand it.

Matchmaking for strikes solves the problem and will mean that more members of the community will be able to interact with each other.

Chung adds that there are no plans for Raid to be treated the same way and explains, "We think good Raid sessions rely on groups of communicative players who are invested in each other, but we know that it’s challenging for many players to find groups for Raids and Nightfall today. We are thinking hard about how we can help make that an easier experience in future releases."

Apparently, the lead design team has other plans to improve the overall Destiny experience in the patch that will follow 1.1.1.

The patch will also deal with Iron Banner and Xur

The developers are also saying that they plan to add a range of Exotic engrams to Xur when he visits the game, to make sure that players have more options to upgrade their equipment.

The Iron Banner Player versus Player mode will also be improved with a wider number of available maps and more Bounties for players.

When it comes to Strikes and Crucible maps, gamers will also get more variety once patch 1.1.1 is deployed for Destiny.

It seems that at the moment the team is still putting the finishing touches on the update and will deliver a full list of patch notes once it has locked down content, which probably means during next week if they are targeting the end of February for deployment.

Once patch 1.1.1 is live, the developers at Bungie will shift all their resources to House of Wolves, the new expansion that is supposed to introduce a new late game major raid, more strikes, a lot of weapons and equipment, and an improved level cap for the Guardians.

Launch for it is slated for the second financial quarter of the year.
