Most gamers who have picked up The Dark Below expansion for Destiny are happily exploring the new areas introduced and trying to battle Crota, but some members of the community have had problems, most of them introduced by the expansion, and the development team at Bungie is delivering a new patch, labeled 1.1.0.2, which is designed to solve most if not all of them.

The official announcement explains, “This update corrects some issues that were introduced to Destiny with the release of The Dark Below. We are also continuing to support the Destiny sandbox with changes that were identified prior the launch of Expansion I.”

The biggest modifications made to the game are linked to weapons, which were sometimes able to use projectiles to penetrate Hive shields.

A bigger list of changes can be read by clicking the button at the bottom of this article and Bungie says that it has also dealt with problems associated with Gear and with the Fist of Crota mission.

As always, Destiny players should report any kind of abnormal game experience on the forums or on the social media channels of Bungie in order to enable the team to deliver fixes in its coming patches.

The Dark Below brings changes to the structure of the social shooter

The first expansion for Destiny seems to be successful at the moment and gamers who bought it are reporting that the new content is better than what the studio offered on launch.

Crota’s End, the new late game raid, might have been completed by a determined group of gamers just six hours after it was introduced, but it does continue to challenge the community.

The only big negative reaction was linked to the decision to lock daily and weekly activities during launch period for those who did not buy The Dark Below, but the fans were appeased when Bungie announced that it would alternate expansion and core content in the coming months in order to keep all types of players engaged.

At the moment, the development team is already exploring ideas for House of Wolves, which is the second full expansion that’s supposed to arrive in the middle of next year.

At the same time, it is continuing to tweak the core social shooter experience it has created and will continue to try and evolve the structure of major events, like the returning Iron Banner Player versus Player mode.
