Until then, gamers will not be able to use the feature

The 2.50 firmware update for the PlayStation 4 is now live on the Sony home console, but it seems that players of the very popular Destiny will have to wait a little while more before they can use the widely expected Suspend/Resume feature for the social shooter.

The official Weekly Update for the game reveals that at the moment there is no support for the feature, although no details are offered on the reason, and that gamers will be able to take advantage of the mechanics only once the 1.1.2 update is launched.

With Suspend/Resume, gamers will be able to quickly access their game on the PlayStation 4.

Bungie is saying that "For the time being, when suspending the game to Rest Mode a message will read: Cannot enter rest mode with the following application suspended. The PS4 will close this application and then enter rest mode."

Suspend/Resume is one of the features that PlayStation 4 users have been asking for a long time, and it's weird to see that one of the most popular titles for the console will not be using it for the moment.

Update 1.1.2 for Destiny is set to be launched in April and the development team is also planning to make a new weapon balance pass in it, while also introducing some changes to mechanics, including much needed Vault modifications.

Facebook and Google can no longer be used for profile access

At the moment, gamers who used Facebook and Google to access their official profiles on the official site can no longer do so because of a set of changes to its structure and they need to link a PlayStation Network ID or a Xbox Gamertag.

Bungie is continuing to update both the game and the associated site to improve the overall player experience.

Once the 1.1.2 update is out, the team will move its resources to develop the House of Wolves expansion, which is set to arrive in the second financial quarter of the year.

It is designed to introduce an entirely new late-game raid, equivalent to Crota's End, while also adding more strikes and introducing more items and weapons for gamers to use.

Another expansion that is rumored to be launched in late 2015 will add new environments for Destiny.
