The development team at Bungie says that it is currently aware of an issue that is affecting the PlayStation 4 version of Destiny, with a number of players reporting that they are unable to long into the game in order to then access their characters and continue their quests.

The information comes from the official support Twitter account for the social shooter, and presumably, updates will be offered once the studio has more information and is able to pinpoint the cause of the problems.

Those who are affected should report their experience and offer as much info as possible to make the entire process easier for the entire community.

Log-in issues for Destiny have not been reported on the Xbox One at the moment.

Since it launched the video game, Bungie has been quick to react to any problems the community has been reporting and this issue will probably be quickly squashed as well.

Destiny will receive long-term support from Bungie and Activision

Since Destiny was first revealed as the new universe that Bungie is working on, the studio has said that it has plans to offer long-term support for it, and that means regular patches and a stream of content updates will be delivered in the near future.

The Dark Below is the first full expansion for the video game, which is supposed to be launched on all platforms before the end of the year.

It will introduce a number of new areas for gamers to explore, as well as extra enemies and weapons.

Bungie says that all of it will slot into the already explored game world in interesting ways and another major expansion is set to be offered during the first six months of 2015.

Balance and major events

The big problem with a game that’s as successful as Destiny is making sure that as many gamers as possible are satisfied with the balance at any point and no major new bugs are introduced while squashing already existing ones.

Bungie says that it is listening to the information that the community is offering and that it will soon deliver another major update which will lower the difficulty of some raid content, while also balancing weapons.

Until now Activision has not offered any clear sales numbers for Destiny, but some analysts predict that the game has been successful enough to compete with Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for the title of best-seller for this year.
