Bungie is aiming to solve them as fast as possible

Destiny is getting ready to launch another big Bungie Bounty event in the coming hours, but the very platform on which the initiative is supposed to take place is at the moment affected by a number of issues, which the development team is currently still investigating.

The Xbox One and the Xbox 360 versions of the social shooter are experiencing some Caterpillar problems, according to an official Twitter message from the studio, and for now there's no ETA on when they might be fixed.

There are plenty of disappointed players who are unable to play the title at the moment, but it is unclear how many of those who have Destiny on the Xbox One or the 360 are impacted.

Destiny was affected by a range of connectivity problems on all consoles when it was first introduced, and even if it took the time to give them cute names, the team at Bungie has moved fast to make sure that their impact was limited in time and in terms of players who cannot actually play.

The social media channels of the company will offer more details about the current Xbox One and 360 issues.

Destiny relies on weekly events to keep fans engaged

The Xbox One problem needs to be resolved before the Bungie Bounty event for Destiny goes live at 6 PM Pacific Time or a lot of players will see the Iron Banner battles on Twitch rather than take part in person.

The weekly events organized by the studio are designed to make sure that gamers remain engaged with the title in the long term, even if actual new content is not offered.

Bungie plans to deploy a major new patch for Destiny before the end of the month, set to eliminate the heavy weapon ammo bug that the community has long been complaining about and tweak some other mechanics.

At the same time, they are working on the House of Wolves expansion, which is confirmed as coming in the second financial quarter of the year.

Some info about it has been offered via leaks, including a big one which showed off new weapons and items, but Bungie claims it has some surprises in store and says the images already shown are outdated.

Update: The developers are saying that most of the problems have been eliminated, although some gamers are still reporting connection troubles.
