The developers do not yet have a full solution

The Dark Below expansion for Destiny enjoyed a largely problem-free launch on December 9 on all platforms and since then the development team at Bungie has also delivered a solid hotfix for the social shooter designed to deal with some known issues.

But there’s at least one problem affecting a small but clear group inside the player community which at the moment does not have a solution, with some gamers saying that they have managed to complete the complex Crota’s End raid and their awards included the special emblem and the shader, but neither of them is appearing in the inventory for the character.

On the official site, the company states that “We are aware of the issue where some players are not receiving their emblem or shader after completing the Crota’s End Raid. We are investigating this issue and will try to get this resolved as quickly as possible.”

At the moment, the only move which seems to sometimes solve the problem with Crota’s End is to make sure that both emblem and shader slots are free when the raid is completed, which requires some thought from gamers but might save them the trouble of complaining after they complete the event.

The Dark Below is centered on Crota’s End

The end game raid was beaten by a group of players for the first time just six hours after the launch of The Dark Below, and since then many other players have tried to do the same.

Bungie says that many of the mechanics of the expansion are designed to give players a chance to level up their characters to the new cap of 32 and to allow them to pick up the gear needed in order to try and take Crota and his capable minions out.

A new exotic upgrade process linked to Xur has also been introduced and a new set of rewards is also offered to those players who enjoy Player versus Player action and are taking part in the new incarnation of Iron Banner until December 22.

A new expansion, named House of Wolves, will be introduced in the summer of 2015, presumably with another big raid and with more environments for gamers to explore.

The company has also suggested that a full sequel is being created and that it will allow players to import their characters from the currently offered social shooter.
